while you are beside me
supplying me air
with your fresh breath.

Let me hold you
with my lips on your hands
until the warmth irritates you
giving me a reason
to hug you instead.

Let me say to you
while the whole world is in chaos
and your heart is silent
eager to hear the words
I love you.

Let me let go of you
as you follow your dreams for now
and never feel the hurt
because in my presence you know
you have been loved.

I feel sad today
