Live your Life!

It's ridiculous to hear and see how we would sometimes spare ourselves from spending money on things that will improve the quality of our lives. We always have to wait for the sale before buying even the most important things in our lives: plane tickets to go home and see mom and dad, digital cameras to capture beautiful and precious moments, shoes that will help us walk better and benefit our health, books that will sharpen our minds and broaden our imagination, classes that inspire passions and hidden talents, organic or healthy expensive food that will make us live longer, etc. And yet we splurge on alcohol, expensive cars, cigarettes, wonder bras and fancy underwear (when nobody even sees us naked), excessive jewelry, fastfood meals that have been proven to make us obese and potential stroke and cancer victims, etc.

We would rather shun the Truth and live on second hand, shortlived, flashy and poor quality commodities than live our lives to the fullest. We are so engrossed on Form rather than Substance.

If you died right now, what good is your savings account, your BMW, or your flat screen tv? What will happen to the money you have worked so hard for now that you can't visit the city of your dreams, or hear your favorite artist on tour, or see the whales dance in Alaska? You work hard and yet you live hard on your self! You should rather work hard, and LIVE EASY. You are given resources so you can have the best quality of life.

There is a saying that goes, "Save the best for last," but will the best ever come in your very last breath, your very last hour? It's like serving people in deathrow their last favorite meal before they get zonked out with 5,000 volts of electricity. Now is the only time we have, and we can make it the best with what we have and own in our lives. Go make that expensive international long distance phone call and talk to Mom and Dad, go to New York and live out your dreams, kiss that special someone and tell them you love them, eat the food that will make you feel better and healthier, do what you have to do with what you have! Live your life!

You have one life to live, and in every moment you are blessed with resources, money, friends, things, etc. that can help make your life better. Don't be cheap on things that will last and improve your quality of life as long as you can afford it. If you know your priorities and what is important to you, you can use all that you have to live the life that you want. God has filled the earth with good things and has given us talents, abilities, intelligence, and instincts to make use of what He has given us.

Live your life! Now! YOUR LIFE IS NOT ON SALE PRICE.

Matthew 25:14-30
"...And the one also who had received the one talent came up and said, "Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow and gathering where you scattered no seed. And I was afraid, and went away and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what is yours." But his master answered and said to him, "You wicked, lazy slave, you knew that I reap where I did not sow and gather where I scattered no seed. Then you ought to have put my money in the bank, and on my arrival I would have received my money back with interest. Therefore take away the talent from him, and give it to the one who has the ten talents. For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away. Throw out the worthless slave into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

Abstruse? Manustrupation? Widdershins?

It is quite fascinating to see how we humans react to words written and spoken to and around us:

Stupid. Idiot. Kind. Pretty. Evil. Saint. Hate. Love. Et cetera.

There are approximately 171,476 words in current use, 47,156 of which are obsolete, and 9,500 derivative words included as subentries in the Oxford English dictionary. How the hell did we come up with such words and meaning? Who decided that an ass is not only a donkey, but also a body part that sits on chairs, tables, and faces? Why does the word 'kind' sound so gentle and good to the heart?

There are 6,800 known languages spoken in the 200 countries of the world. 2,261 have writing systems (the others are only spoken) and about 300 are represented by on-line dictionaries as of May 11, 2004. (http://www.yourdictionary.com/languages.html)

Where do all these words come from? Why do we respond to them the way Pavlov's dog salivates to the sound of the ringing bell? Why are you able to read the words I write in here and understand them? Somebody must have fed us with words, with a language system that enables us to communicate and recognize meaning in life.

I think that we are a Mouth full of words spitting out hope, mercy, anger, greed, confusion, affection, deception, truth. Every single moment of our lives. Each one contrasted by another, both either making us or breaking us. What words will you speak today? What words will be spoken to you today? Watch what you speak and listen to, they can shape you and the world around you.

Our heavenly Father created us in love, and sees us with love. The three most powerful words in the entire universe he declares to us, and this is the Truth that should keep us alive, peaceful, joyful, victorious, hopeful, brave and strong.

"I love you."

Let posters speak of not smoking, or t-shirts say fcuk on the beach. Let your friends and enemies say what they think of you. In you is the Word, the Truth that was spoken before you even existed.

God loves you! Unconditionally. Regardless. Forever.

When people have something to say about me, I simply tell them: "It is good that you have opinions of your own. They are your thoughts, and they don't have to be mine. It is you who sleep with those words at night, not me."

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1)

Snippets

*My birth and my death are guaranteed. It's "my life" in between that has to be sought for by me.

*God is as precise as He is unpredictable. One does not know when He will show up in times of trouble, but when He comes, He comes in perfect real time.

*It is good to understand why I am different from other people and be able to celebrate it. One's outlook truly determines how one lives.

*If I die before my dreams come true, then at least I died pursuing them. A dream is a reason to live for in this life.

*We live according to the rules of the world we have created around us. We seldom live the world that is in us: our Truth, our Being.

*There is indeed more! There is no lack here! Your immediate treasure, God's gift to you, is found only in the Here and Now, nowhere else!

*I leave all that has been. I welcome all that is and will be.

*We can change the world not by doing things, but by being our true selves, our love, our divinity.
