Abstruse? Manustrupation? Widdershins?

It is quite fascinating to see how we humans react to words written and spoken to and around us:

Stupid. Idiot. Kind. Pretty. Evil. Saint. Hate. Love. Et cetera.

There are approximately 171,476 words in current use, 47,156 of which are obsolete, and 9,500 derivative words included as subentries in the Oxford English dictionary. How the hell did we come up with such words and meaning? Who decided that an ass is not only a donkey, but also a body part that sits on chairs, tables, and faces? Why does the word 'kind' sound so gentle and good to the heart?

There are 6,800 known languages spoken in the 200 countries of the world. 2,261 have writing systems (the others are only spoken) and about 300 are represented by on-line dictionaries as of May 11, 2004. (http://www.yourdictionary.com/languages.html)

Where do all these words come from? Why do we respond to them the way Pavlov's dog salivates to the sound of the ringing bell? Why are you able to read the words I write in here and understand them? Somebody must have fed us with words, with a language system that enables us to communicate and recognize meaning in life.

I think that we are a Mouth full of words spitting out hope, mercy, anger, greed, confusion, affection, deception, truth. Every single moment of our lives. Each one contrasted by another, both either making us or breaking us. What words will you speak today? What words will be spoken to you today? Watch what you speak and listen to, they can shape you and the world around you.

Our heavenly Father created us in love, and sees us with love. The three most powerful words in the entire universe he declares to us, and this is the Truth that should keep us alive, peaceful, joyful, victorious, hopeful, brave and strong.

"I love you."

Let posters speak of not smoking, or t-shirts say fcuk on the beach. Let your friends and enemies say what they think of you. In you is the Word, the Truth that was spoken before you even existed.

God loves you! Unconditionally. Regardless. Forever.

When people have something to say about me, I simply tell them: "It is good that you have opinions of your own. They are your thoughts, and they don't have to be mine. It is you who sleep with those words at night, not me."

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1)

Thank you, this has made my day. Only this morning my mother told me to commit suicide...but now I understand that though she may not love me, He does.
